Flint, MI—Dee Dee Taylor, sister of the late Breonna Taylor, recently visited the Genesee County Jail to discuss mental health with inmates.
The May 17, 2024, event was organized on behalf of Taylor’s nonprofit, Taylor Made Re-Entry, and Percy Glover, founder of FAIR Voting Alliance.
Partners included Crim Foundation, Hurley Medical Center, Serenity House, Genesee Health Systems, Mott Community College, and the City of Flint’s Office of Public Health.
Breonna Taylor was killed by Louisville, Kentucky police in March 2020 during a botched raid. In March 2021, Flint residents protested to demand justice for her death. Taylor said Taylor Made Re-Entery is a way of preserving her sister’s legacy.
