Crim Fitness Foundation to host wellness retreat in Flint

FLINT, Mich. — The Crim Fitness Foundation will host a daylong wellness retreat in downtown Flint aimed at helping participants unplug and reset.
The organization’s Serene Saturday Wellness mini-retreat is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 4, at its headquarters, 719 Harrison St. The six-hour event is designed to provide a calm, restorative environment away from the stress of daily life.
“This retreat is more than just a day of relaxation; it is a commitment to yourself,” says Special Project Manager, Theresa Roach. “Prioritizing yourself, your mental wellbeing, your physical wellbeing, can be challenging. A one day retreat like this gives people a chance to try it out for themselves.”
Organizers say the retreat will focus on helping attendees reset mentally and gain clarity through a range of guided activities. The program will include gentle movement, breathwork, sound immersion and yoga, all offered in a trauma-informed setting that allows participants to move at their own pace.
The cost to attend is $75 per person, and participants must be 18 or older. A limited number of mats, blankets and yoga blocks will be available, though attendees are encouraged to bring their own equipment if possible.
Light refreshments and snacks will be provided, but participants are asked to bring their own lunch.
