Michigan Dental Association receives $70k grant from Mott Foundation
Flint, MI — The Michigan Dental Association (MDA) Foundation recently received a $70,000 grant from the Mott Foundation. This grant will support the Mission of Mercy event in Flint, scheduled for June 14-16, 2024.
“The Michigan Dental Association Foundation is ecstatic to receive this generous $70,000 grant from the Mott Foundation,” said MDA Foundation President Dr. Daniel Peters. “The entire Flint community has been wonderful to work with and we are so looking forward to a fantastic Mission of Mercy event. Along with our community partners, we’ll make tangible improvements to oral health while simultaneously highlighting access-to-care issues that so many people in our state face.”
The Mission of Mercy is a collaborative effort that provides free dental care to all, regardless of income or residency status. With the support from the Mott Foundation, the MDA Foundation expects its hundreds of volunteers to provide an estimated $1.8 million in dental services to as many as 2,000 people from around the state.
