Small businesses invited to “Meet the Lender” event in Flint

FLINT, Mich. — Small business owners and entrepreneurs will have the chance to connect directly with financial institutions during the first-ever Meet the Lender event hosted by the Genesee Entrepreneurial Network.

The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 9 at the University of Michigan-Flint Northbank Center, located at 432 S. Saginaw St., Suite 419.

Attendees will have the opportunity to receive guidance from lending professionals, learn what lenders look for in loan applications and participate in optional one-on-one meetings with financial institutions.

Several financial institutions and lending organizations are expected to attend, including representatives from Dort Financial Credit Union, ELGA Credit Union, Huntington Bank, MSU Federal Credit Union, Michigan Good Food Fund, Michigan Women Forward, PNC Bank, the U.S. Small Business Administration and Wildfire Credit Union.

The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Those interested can sign up at developflintandgenesee.org/lender.
