Water main break affects 80 homes in Flint
FLINT, Mich. — Eighty Homes have been impacted by a water main break at the intersection of Atherton and Tuxedo, west of Fenton Road.
Repair efforts began early Thursday morning, with teams on-site pumping water from key manholes to safely access and fix the break. The city is asking residents for patience as crews work to restore service as quickly as possible.
Crews are running cameras through the piping system to find the location of the break.
According to Kenneth Miller, the city’s DPW administrator, there is no need for a boil water advisory.
Residents experiencing basement flooding due to the water main break can call (810) 410-2020 for assistance and available resources.
According to a social media post from the city, Atherton Road between Fenton Road and Hammerberg Road is closed until further notice.
