GRAND BLANC, Mich. — Residents in need of legal advice can get help free of charge during the Flint Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.’s upcoming “Lawyers at the Library” event.

The event will take place from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 31, at the Genesee District Library, 515 Perry Road in Grand Blanc.

Community members will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with volunteer attorneys offering free consultations on a range of legal topics, including criminal law, civil matters, property issues, business law, estate planning and living wills.

Organizers say the goal is to remove barriers to legal support and empower residents with information and resources that may otherwise be difficult to access.

The event is free and open to the public.
