Flint City council set to discuss water management contract, $750K grant

FLINT, Mich. — The Flint City Council is set to meet today, Aug. 11, 2025, starting with the Special Affairs Committee meeting at 4:30 p.m. A regularly scheduled Flint City Council meeting will follow the Special Affairs meeting.

This week’s agenda items include a contract with Fleis & Vanderbrink for water asset management as ordered by the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE).

Councilmembers are also looking at accepting a $750,000 Charles Stewart Mott Foundation Grant to be used for operational and staff support.

Flint City Council meetings are held at Flint City Hall, located at 1101 S. Saginaw St. in Flint City Council Chambers on the third floor. For more information about the Aug. 11 meetings, agendas are below.
