Deadline approaching for vacant 1st Ward Flint City Council seat applications

Flint, MI — The deadline is approaching for Flint City Council to accept applications for the 1st ward council seat following the death of longtime Flint City Councilman Eric Mays on Feb. 24, 2024. Applications will be accepted until Monday, March 18 at 5 p.m.

Mays was serving his third term as a council member at the time of his passing.

Those who wish to apply for the vacant council position must be a registered voter and residents of the 1st ward. Applicants should mail a resume, CV, biography, or letter of interest as “application” to:
