FLINT, Mich. โ€” The National Minority Quality Forum is set to host a community town hall and mini clinic aimed at addressing cancer prevention and early detection in North Flint.

The event will take place Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026 at the Flint Development Center on Martin Luther King Avenue.

  • Registration: 10:15 a.m. โ€“ 11:00 a.m.ย 
  • Town Hall: 11:00 a.m. โ€“ 12:00 p.m.ย 
  • Free Mini Clinic: 12:00 p.m. โ€“ 3:00 p.m.

It will include a public town hall discussion followed by a free mini clinic offering the following services:

  • Free health screenings
  • Vaccines (while supplies last)
  • Health education
  • Water distribution (while supplies last)
  • Food access and community giveaways
  • Live music and on-site community engagement

The town hall will outline efforts to expand access to presymptomatic and early cancer screening through new clinical and community partnerships, aimed at identifying cancer risk before symptoms appear.

Organizers say the event is intended to address ongoing gaps in health care access in North Flint that remain years after the Flint water crisis.

The event is open to the public.
