FLINT, Mich. — The City of Flint has implemented a new parking policy offering residents a 30-minute grace period for metered parking spots directly in front of City Hall.
City officials said the initiative is designed to make it easier for residents to conduct business at City Hall without worrying about parking time limits. The grace period applies immediately and is intended for short visits.
City Council Vice President Candice Mushatt and 3rd Ward Councilwoman LaShawn Johnson supported the change as part of a broader effort to improve customer service and accessibility in city operations.
The city said the new policy aims to create a more efficient and customer-friendly experience for residents visiting City Hall.
