FLINT, Mich. — The City of Flint has announced that official Trick-or-Treat and Trunk-or-Treat hours will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, 2025.

City officials are encouraging families to take part in neighborhood and community-sponsored events during those hours while keeping safety top of mind.

To help ensure a safe holiday, Flint police will increase patrols and remain on heightened alert on both Angels’ Night (Oct. 30) and Halloween night. Residents are urged to call 911 to report any emergencies or suspicious activity.

The city is also reminding residents to take extra safety precautions:

  • Drivers should watch for children crossing streets and walking through neighborhoods.
  • Parents and guardians are encouraged to accompany younger children and inspect all treats before eating.
  • Trick-or-treaters should wear bright or reflective clothing and carry flashlights for visibility.

“Safety is our top priority,” Mayor Sheldon Neeley said in a statement. “We want all our families to enjoy Halloween together, have fun, and celebrate responsibly.”

In addition to neighborhood festivities, the city will host Harvest Fest 2025 from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, on the City Hall back lawn at 1101 S. Saginaw St. The free event will include candy giveaways, food, a kids’ movie, bounce houses, and other family-friendly activities.
