FLINT, Mich. — The administrator for Flint’s Department of Public Works (DPW), is resigning, city officials confirmed on May 21, 2025.

According to Flint officials, Miller submitted his resignation voluntarily. He played a key role in the city’s utilities team, overseeing both water and sewer operations.

“We are thankful for the support and professionalism that Mr. Miller brought to the Flint team,” wrote City officials in a May 21 email statement.

While the city continues its search for a permanent DPW director, officials emphasized that residents should not expect any disruptions in city services during the leadership transition.

“The City remains focused on delivering consistent and high-quality services to all residents and ensuring continuity of operations across the Department of Public Works,” the statement read.

The timing of Miller’s departure and details about an interim replacement were not immediately disclosed.
