As Halloween approaches, residents may want to participate in Flint’s line-up of Halloween events to celebrate the holiday or simply enjoy some curated fun.

Below is a list of this year’s October 2024 Halloween events happening in the City of Flint:

Saturday, October 5 to Thursday, October 31, 12 to 9 p.m. – Halloween Ghosts & Goodies, Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad

Halloween Ghosts & Goodies at Crossroads Village and Huckleberry Railroad are open on select dates as of October 5: Saturdays and Sundays from 12 to 9 p.m. and select weeknights between 5 and 9 p.m. These selected weeknights include October 23, 24, 25, 30, and 31. The village will offer twenty treat stops, a straw maze, a magic show, and a train ride on the 1800s Huckleberry Ghost Train Express alongside other fall and spooky-themed activities.

Friday, October 25, 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. – UM-Flint’s Inclusive Halloween

The University of Michigan-Flint is throwing its fourth annual Inclusive Halloween event meant for anyone with special needs alongside their peers, families, and allies at the Riverfront Conference Center located at 1 Riverfront Plaza in Flint.

Inclusive Halloween will include an array of activities, refreshments, and resources for those in attendance, including trick-or-treating rooms, therapy dogs, costumed characters, arts and crafts, a silent dance party, and more. 

Saturday, October 26, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. – Halloween Hustle at Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad

The Crim Fitness Foundation and Genesee County Parks are collaborating to put on their Halloween Hustle 5K and Kids’ Trick-or-Trot at Flint’s historic Crossroads Village. Other activities will be on-site, and costumes are encouraged. 

Participants must pay to register for the race, but those coming to spectate before the park officially opens for the day do not need to pay admission. Those who enter the village after the race must pay for admission.

Saturday, October 26, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Galaxy Glow Halloween Party at Flint Children’s Museum

Flint Children’s Museum is set to host a family-friendly party with an abundance of activities for young children. General admission is $8 per person or free for members of the museum. All activities are covered with admission, including goodie bags, crafts, boo bubbles, a petting farm, and a galaxy glow room.

Saturday, October 26, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. – Trunk-or-Treat at Haskell Community Center

The Flint Police Activities League will host another trunk-or-treat event at Haskell Community Center, 2201 Forest Hill Ave, in Flint. 

Saturday, October 26, 5 to 8 p.m. – Trick-or-Treat on Lewis Street: A Halloween Event

The Latinx Technology & Community Center will hold its sixth annual trick-or-treat event for Flint families at 2101 Lewis St, Flint, MI 48506. This event is free to the public and will include family-friendly activities such as pumpkin painting and food vendors. 

Saturday, October 26, 7 to 11 p.m. – Halloween Bar Crawl

Sauce Italian American Kitchen is hosting a Halloween bar crawl in collaboration with nine other downtown bars and restaurants.

Participants will meet at Sauce Italian American Kitchen to receive a map of all participating locations. The more locations visited, the more likely participants are to win prizes.
