FLINT, Mich. — Families looking to enroll their young children in preschool will have an opportunity to learn about local early childhood programs during a free event hosted by the Genesee Intermediate School District next month.

The district will hold a Preschool Enrollment Kickoff event from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 1 at the Flint Children’s Museum, located at 1602 University Ave.

Organizers encourage parents to bring their children to explore the museum while learning about preschool and early childhood services available in Flint and throughout Genesee County.

The event is designed to help families better understand their options and ensure children get a strong start before entering kindergarten. Programs serve children from birth to age 5.

Representatives will be available to answer questions about enrollment, eligibility and available services. Families will also receive information about local early learning and care programs offered through the district.

The event is free and open to the public.
