FLINT, Mich. — With the holiday season approaching, local businesses and organizations are stepping up to provide free Thanksgiving meals throughout the community.
Below is a list of events offering free Thanksgiving meals across the Flint area:
Tuesday, Nov. 25
Well of Hope in partnership with Catholic Charities of Shiawassee and Genesee Counties will host its 17th Annual ‘Blessed to Be a Blessing’ Thanksgiving Dinner from 4–6 p.m. at the Center for Hope, 812 Root St.
Wednesday, Nov. 26
The Salvation Army L.I.F.E Center is set to host a pre-Thanksgiving dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at 1475 Coldwater Road. The event is open to the community, and free MTA bus transportation to the event starts at 4 p.m.
810 Munchies will give away Thanksgiving turkey dinners on Nov. 26 starting at 2 p.m., while supplies last. The meals will include sliced turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce and a roll. Pumpkin pie will also be offered if enough donations are received.
Thursday, Nov. 27
The Sacred Heart Veterans Village Resource Center will offer a free Thanksgiving meal for all area veterans from noon to 2 p.m. at 734 E. Steward Ave. in Flint.
Catholic Charities of Shiawassee & Genesee Counties and Faith Compassion Service will serve a free Thanksgiving meal at the North End Soup Kitchen from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Berston Field House will serve a free, full-course Thanksgiving dinner from noon to 3 p.m. at 3300 Saginaw St. in Flint. The meal is provided in partnership with Berston, Solidified, and other community partners.
Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken will give out free turkey dinners from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (while supplies last) on Thanksgiving Day at 3459 Miller Road in Flint.
The Hive Holistic Center will host a Friendsgiving potluck from 4-9 p.m. at 140 E. 2nd Street, Suite 100 in Flint. Attendees are welcome to bring a dish if they can—no pressure if they can’t.

Never did find the place.
Was hungry, looking forward to a hot meal.
Sure wished the post was correct but instead wasted time trying to find the place and found no dinner.
Saddened & left hungry.
