The Moms In Business International’s Genesee County networking event takes place at Evers & Ollie in Flushing on Feb. 27, 2026

FLINT, Mich. — A new networking community focused on supporting women entrepreneurs and mothers is launching in Genesee County with its first in-person gathering later this month.

The inaugural event for Moms In Business International (MIB) Genesee County will take place Friday, Feb. 27, from 5–7 p.m. at Evers & Ollie in Flushing, introducing a monthly, child-friendly networking series designed for women at every stage of business, from early ideas to established companies.

The local chapter is part of Moms In Business International, a global community founded by Leona Burton with a mission to become the largest international support, education and empowerment network for moms and women in business.

The organization aims to connect women through shared experiences in entrepreneurship and caregiving, offering both professional resources and peer support.

The Genesee County group seeks to create a welcoming space where women can build relationships and grow their businesses while navigating the realities of motherhood and family life. Participation is open to all women, regardless of parenting status, with an emphasis on maintaining a child-friendly environment.

The launch event will feature a keynote-style talk from local organizer Jayme Orr, who will speak about the importance of networking and how strategic relationships have shaped her own professional journey. Attendees can expect structured networking opportunities alongside informal conversation in a relaxed coffee shop setting.

Beyond in-person gatherings, members will have access to an online community where participants can share business updates, seek advice and support one another’s professional growth.

Tickets for the event are $20, and attendees can register online at mibint.co/ask. Community members can also connect with the local group through its Facebook community at facebook.com/groups/mibgeneseecounty.
