Sorority set to host 17th annual community basic needs fair

FLINT, Mich. — The Flint Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is partnering with the Gloria Coles Flint Public Library to host the 17th annual Community Basic Needs Fair.

The free event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at the library, 1026 E. Kearsley St.

Organizers say the fair will connect residents with more than 30 local community agencies offering resources and services, including family support, healthcare, financial assistance and workforce development programs.

Attendees can also expect door prizes, giveaways and other activities throughout the event.

This year’s sponsors include Genesee Health System, McLaren Flint, Michigan United and Molina Healthcare.
