FLINT, Mich. — The Flint Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will host a youth forum for boys ages 11 to 18 as part of its ongoing EMBODI program, which focuses on empowering African American males.
Participants will take part in interactive programming and roundtable discussions aimed at helping them develop tools and resources for success. The event will also include access to a gaming truck.
The keynote speaker will be Recco Santee Richardson, Ph.D., a clinical therapist, author, educator and entrepreneur.
“We understand the value in supporting our youth by providing them a space to learn and be encouraged while providing an opportunity for mentorship,” said Tamar Swain, president of the Flint Alumnae Chapter.
The “Watch Me Be Great” forum will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at Holmes STEM Academy, 6602 Oxley Dr. in Flint.
