FLINT, Mich. — The Flint City Council Finance Committee is scheduled to meet at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026, to consider the approval of several grants and infrastructure repairs.

The first item on the agenda is a resolution to set a public hearing on Flintโ€™s 2027 Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Project Plan, which includes improvements at the Torrey Road Booster Station and replacement of the Northwest Transmission Main.

Several of the agenda items center around Flintโ€™s water and wastewater systems, including a resolution to repair the sluice gate at the Northwest Pump Station. The cost for the repairs is over $142,000.

Additionally, the finance committee will consider a $150,000 change order to purchase additional polymer chemicals for wastewater treatment, along with a $220,540 purchase of ultraviolet disinfection bulbs for the cityโ€™s Water Pollution Control Facility.

Councilmembers will also review a resolution to accept a $41,681 grant from the state Auto Theft Prevention Authority through the Genesee Auto Interface Network, which would require the city to provide a $70,970.76 match.

Another item involves a $100,000 state grant for continuing professional education for law enforcement officers.

Public comment will take place at the beginning of the meeting.
